The Charlie F. Wilson Scholarship Fund
We are proud to announce the Charlie F. Wilson Scholarship Fund, established in honor of Charlie F. Wilson, a man known for his clear vision, strong plans, and dedication to preparing his children and grandchildren for a brighter future. Charlie’s frugality and forward-thinking shaped his family’s values, and after his passing from Alzheimer’s, his family established this scholarship to continue his legacy of valuing education and supporting students in their pursuit of higher education.
Eligibility Requirements: Must complete the scholarship application.
- Must be a graduating high school senior
- Must be enrolled or planning to enroll in a full-time or part-time program at an accredited university or institution
- Must have a minimum 3.0 GPA
- Must be pursuing a bachelor’s degree
- Must submit 1 letter of recommendation
The Robin J. Hailstorks Scholarship Program
We are excited to announce the Robin J. Hailstorks Scholarship Program, dedicated to supporting aspiring mental health professionals in honor of Dr. Robin J. Hailstorks, a devoted educator and Psychology professor for over 30 years. Dr. Hailstorks was passionate about raising awareness of psychology education in the higher education community and was known for being “very understanding and informative,” reflecting her commitment to student success.
This scholarship supports students pursuing careers in mental health and psychology, with the goal of continuing Dr. Hailstorks’ legacy of fostering education and positively impacting communities.
Eligibility Requirements: Must complete the scholarship application.
- Must be in the Washington DC Metropolitan Area (DC, MD, VA)
- Must be enrolled or planning to enroll in a full-time or part-time program at an accredited university or institution
- Must provide proof of enrollment
- Must answer: How do you plan to use your degree/studies to affect the mental health community and impact the community?
- Must have a minimum 3.0 GPA
- Must be pursuing a master’s degree in the mental health profession
- Must submit 1 letter of recommendation
- Must submit a research proposal detailing your thesis or intended research
- Must be available on June 28, 2025, to attend the scholarship brunch
